Dear Editor,
Given the Prime Minister's response to the Labor Party plan to help fix aged care it would seem that the current Federal Government has no intention to spend the money needed to reform the Aged Care sector as per the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care.
The whole community was outraged when stories came out of the neglect, lack of trained workers, no registered nurses and poor nutrition. These conditions were highlighted more when nursing homes were struck with COVID resulting in many deaths. As a society we need to fix these issues. The Labor plan is a good one and the Liberal-National Federal Government need to get on board and support these reforms.
