Dear editor,
I recently received this offensive flyer in my letter-box and can hardly believe that an elected councillor would put his name to this disgraceful piece of work.
Whether or not you agree or disagree with Mayor Findley, this direct attack on an elected official, is both offensive and unnecessary. It amounts to school-yard bullying and is not a well-informed way of communicating with the community.
This negativity and a direct attack on one person, demonstrates that Andrew Giles has little respect for the office or his fellow colleagues.
In this day and age and current climate of respectful debate, Mr Giles would do well to withdraw it and apologise, and the other councillors should be speaking with their colleague and calling-out such behaviour.
